DISABLED ADAPTATIONS

In order to ensure that our tenants are able to continue to live in their own home in safety and comfort, we can assist elderly and disabled tenants by undertaking adaptations to their homes. The types of work that can be requested, subject to the availability of funding, include:-

• Provision of easy access showers

• Replacement of unsuitable heating systems

• Provision of grab rails

• Provision of external handrails

• Provision of level access or ramped access to properties
  

This list is not exhaustive and other works may be considered.

Tenants who wish to have works carried out will have an assessment completed by an Occupational Therapist who will make detailed recommendations to the Association. The recommended work will then be done as quickly as possible.
