HANDYPERSON SERVICES

The Association's Handyperson Services are an integral part of our operations and is funded by the Highland Council's Social Work Services and NHS Highland.

We can assist any elderly or disabled individuals in Skye and Lochalsh by:-

  • providing practical help with small repairs and tasks around the home - at no charge to the client other than materials

  • supplying and installing "Aids to Daily Living" on behalf of Social Work Services and the NHS

Examples of the small repairs that can be carried out include-

  • fitting battery-operated smoke alarms

  • assembling new furniture

  • replacing tap washers

  • unblocking sinks

  • replacing light bulbs, plugs and fuses

  • cleaning gutters

  • fitting grab rails
