Scottish Housing Day 2026 – come and see us in your community.
Scottish Housing Day 2026 takes place on Wednesday 16 September, and this year focuses on the important role that good homes, strong communities and local connections play in supporting physical health, mental wellbeing and stronger communities.
As part of the day, LSHA staff and Board members will be out across Skye, Lochalsh and Raasay from 10:00am to 2:00pm, meeting tenants and speaking with people in the communities we serve.
We will have staff at Kyle Co-op, Portree Co-op and Broadford Co-op, while other colleagues will be carrying out community walkabouts, visiting LSHA tenants in:
Staffin, Kilmuir, Uig, Dornie, Balmacara, Plockton, Teangue, Armadale, Ardvasar, Raasay, Dunvegan, Glendale and Glenelg.
If you see us, please come and say hello. LSHA tenants can speak to us about anything relating to their home or tenancy, including repairs, rent, benefits, household finances or other housing concerns. If the person you speak to cannot answer your question directly, we will make sure it reaches the right colleague.
People who are not LSHA tenants are also very welcome to speak to us. Where we cannot help directly, we can often point you towards another organisation or service that can.
Starting the conversation at parkrun
Ahead of Scottish Housing Day, LSHA representatives will also be at Skinadin parkrun at 9:30am on Saturday 12 September. If you are taking part, volunteering or simply coming along, look out for us and say hello.
Scottish Housing Day is an opportunity for us to hear directly from tenants and communities about what is working well, what could be better and what matters locally.
